History as told by Indigenous peoples<\/h3>\n

Skills for Solidarity<\/strong> is an online, introductory program that opens up a conversation about the shared history between Indigenous Peoples and non-Indigenous Peoples in Canada, and ways to renew the relationship between nations. The program consists of five online panels that participants can watch at their own pace, along with supplementary workbooks to deepen their learning. Each panel includes an incredible group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous panelists sharing their experience and stories on themes ranging from the importance of personal story in decolonization to what it looks like to work together on shared campaigns.<\/a><\/p>\n

Inuit and the Residential School System.\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>This booklet explores the history and impact of residential schools among Inuit peoples in Canada\u2019s north. The booklet is part of an exhibit that can be physically brought to communities or schools, as well as viewed online.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Legacy of Hope Foundation<\/strong> (LHF) is a national Indigenous-led, charitable organization.\u00a0 Its goal is to\u00a0 educate and raise awareness about the history and many legacies of the Residential School System. These include the direct and ongoing impacts on First Nation, M\u00e9tis, and Inuit Survivors, their communities, and their descendants. Its mission is to educate towards creating just and equal relationships of reconciliation and healing for all Canadians, to expand awareness of and access to the rich legacy of the contributions of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and the world, and to make known the histories of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, including the histories of injustice.<\/a><\/p>\n
