Online Screening of Resilience Sept 16th

Screening of the Award Winning Documentary  Resilience

Kingston Community Health Centres, Maltby Centre, and Resolve Counselling Services are excited to partner together to host a screening of the film Resilience. Resilience is an award winning documentary that discusses toxic stress, its effect on the brains and bodies of children, and how this stress contributes to risk of disease, homelessness, incarceration, and early death. More, this film highlights a movement that is determined to fight back and work to protect children from the effects of toxic stress.

Following the film, there will be a facilitated discussion on thoughts, insight, learnings, and how we, as a community, can work together to join this movement and fight against and address the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Further, KCHC, Maltby, and Resolve will use this platform to highlight their ongoing, collaborative, United Way-funded efforts to bring ACEs-focused programming to our community that will aim to educate, empower, and build resilience.
