L&A County Youth Hub Open House – March 22nd

The United Way has been working on a collective impact initiative with community partners on a plan to prevent and end youth homelessness in KFL&A. Recognizing that unique solutions are needed to address the unique needs of rural youth, a steering committee of local service providers in L&A was brought together to begin the planning process.

Data tells us that many youth experiencing homelessness in L&A are sometimes in unsafe or inadequate conditions.  Youth have also told us themselves, that while many services are being offered by agencies in Lennox & Addington, access to these, particularly for youth who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless and/or precariously housed, is not easy.

To address this, over the past year and half, the L&A County Youth Hub has come together through the dedication, hard work, commitment and collaboration of twenty-one community organizations, with an aim to provide youth in the region with access and connection to much needed community services and supports.

We are very excited to invite your organization, and youth that you serve, to an open house for you to see the new L&A County Youth Hub.

Please join us on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, to learn more about the Lennox & Addington Youth Hub, located at The Memorial Building, 41 Dundas Street, Napanee (Robert Street entrance).

RSVP to Eventbrite (click here) by March 19th.

Light refreshments will be available.  We look forward to seeing you there!
